The news of Fastcash CMoney’s death has left the Memphis music community in heartbreak and devastation.
Fastcash CMoney, whose real name is Cordney, was reportedly shot and killed on Sunday, the 10th of August, 2025.
Although at the time of writing this article, the authorities have not released any statement about the incident, however, CMoney was reportedly killed in the Macaulay Drive area and the Macaulay Cove area.
The Police, however, confirm that many homes were hit by gunfire during the sporadic shooting.
CMoney was known for his unique raw style of music and loyal fan base. CMoney was one of two in the rap duo Fast Cash Boyz.
CMoney, a 29-year-old rapper from Memphis, was reportedly shot in the early hours of Sunday morning. His girlfriend, Kya Smith, took to one of her social media accounts to share this devastating story, describing him as her “best friend” and “everyday person”.

She has also launched a GoFundMe to aid funeral arrangements and support their two children. In her post, she has also called the incident “senseless gun violence.”

The music industry is saddened by this news, and the entertainment industry at large, as many colleagues and fans remember him for the style he brought to the musical world. More importantly, the joy he brought to everyone around him.
His close friend, a Twitch streamer Ben Da Don, got news of his death mid-stream, and immediately left the live stream to confirm the news.
He’s said to be laid to rest on Saturday, the 23rd of August, 2025. He’s survived by his girlfriend, two children, and fans who enjoy his style of music.
