WHO WAS CHINO XL?

Derek Keith Barbaso who goes by the stage name Chino XL was a prominent American rapper and actor; he was greatly recognized for his many achievements. During the period he was alive he released four studio albums and won many awards including HHUG Album of the Year in 2012.

He was featured in several films and on television along with other famous artists. The report shows that Chino XL was an enemy of the late Tupac in a series of diss tracks in the 90s.

He released his first album in 1996; titled “Here to Save You” and proceeded to release “I Told You So” that same year, where he featured other prominent artists like; J Dilla, Kool G Rap, and B- Real amongst others. He went on a break but didn’t give up on his music career. In 2006 he released another album titled “Something Sacred” and kept pushing on with music. Before he died, he released another song titled “Pendulum Swing” where he collaborated with Rakim. 

He was married to Stephanie with whom he had four children, one stepson, and five grandchildren.

HOW DID CHINO XL DIE?

50 years old Chino Xl reportedly died on Sunday at home. His fans are questioning the cause of his sudden death, but at the time of this publication, no report has been made about what caused his death.

His family made a post about his death on his Instagram account on Sunday without disclosing the reason for his death and requested that it should be kept private.
