Durant Public School Coach, Will Robinson Dies in Tragic Accident

Durant Public School, Oklahoma grieves as she loses one of its bright stars, Will Robinson in a tragic accident and leaves the rest of his family in a critical state in the hospital.

Will Robinson was a teacher, friend to many students and staff alike, coach, Christian faith Leader in Durant public School, Oklahoma.

According to reports reaching us at Treklondon, Will Robinson died in a tragic accident and left the rest of his family in critical states in the hospital, where they are being hospitalized at the time of writing this article is unknown at the moment.

According to the report, the tragedy happened on the eve of Christmas, 24th of December, 2024 in a single-vehicle accident around 9:30 am. He was driving his family around Sherman TX in a white Chevrolet Traverse.

From forensics, they determined that the vehicle left the roadway and ended in a drainage ditch. Will and his family (his wife and four kids) were all in the vehicle when this disaster happened.

The report also has it that the vehicle was carried by “strong water” hence trapping six people in the vehicle.

The rapid response team immediately sprung into action upon getting a call. They were only able to resuscitate four people from the disaster, however, Will and one of his daughters did seem not to have made it. Will and his daughter were swept away by the water, his body was found but that of his daughter wasn’t.

The Durant public school has hit the socials lamenting at the death of their gem. Will was such an inspiration to the students and staff.

He has been the coach of the Durant Lady Lion basketball team since 2019, and according to many testimonies, he has been doing exceptionally well since his appointment. He transformed the state of things in the school.

Will Robinson was confirmed as the new Durant Lady Lions basketball coach by the Durant school board this afternoon.

Robinson is a former basketball player and a graduate of Durant and Southeastern.

He returns to DHS after coaching at Achille in 2018-2019 and for two years at S & S Consolidated in Sadler, Tx.

Aaron George, who coached both the Durant girls and boys teams this past season will remain as the coach of the Lions boys squad
