The community at the Rio Lindo Adventist Academy in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California, is currently mourning the loss of one of their students after a tragic accident.
The news of the student’s passing was announced by the school on its social media platform. According to the announcement, a male student passed on Thursday, the 28th of August, 2025, while he was participating in the school’s slip-and-slide activity.
This event was organized by the school to create a fun environment and celebrate the beginning of the school year.
The student, according to the report, hit his head during this event despite the efforts of the school’s medical staff nd first responders; he could not be resuscitated.
At the time of writing this article, the student’s identity has not been revealed to the public by the school authorities out of respect for the family. However, his loss really hit the community hard as individuals and groups of individuals poured out tributes on social media.
