Portugal in Crisis: Netizens React As Portugal Experiences A Wildfire Disaster

For those who have been following recent happenings around the world, you will realize that As storm Boris brings severe flooding and snowfall to Central and Eastern Europe, Portugal is experiencing its severe disaster in the form of a wildfire. 

According to the reports, there has been an incidence of a wildfire in Portugal Forests In the vicinity of Aveiro and Albergaria-A-Velha districts approximately 76 km south of Portugal’s second city of Porto. 

The Intensity of the Wildfire Outbreak. 

 These wildfires have spread fast to absorb vast areas of forest land and, therefore, present a devastating existence to the occupants within these regions. They have escalated because of the dryness and heat which is further compounded by heat waves. 

Firefighters are on standby to put out the fires and are working round the clock to do so, but the intensity of the fires has made their work extremely difficult. The fires have already caused a lot of damage to properties and have resulted in evacuations in the affected regions. 

 The Response of Portugal’s Government To The Incidence.

Though the actual cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be brought to light, the Portuguese government has deployed resources and adequate forces to help tackle the fires. Some of these include firefighting squads as well as flying squadrons.

Many, however, believe that the whole incident could have been avoided from the onset if only the government had been proactive from the onset. Others also believe that this is part of a grand scheme as it cannot just pass for a coincidence.
