William Yost Altadena High School Baseball Star Dies in 134 Freeway Crash
We report the demise of William Yost whose life tragically ended in a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver on the 134 Freeway in Pasadena.
According to reports, on Sunday, the 5th of January, a fatal wrong-way collision in Pasadena ended the lives of two people tragically.
The fatal accident is reported to have happened on the westbound 134, North San Rafael Avenue, Pasadena, around 8:10 a.m.
The Califonia Highway Patrol reported this crash. In their report, they explained that a driver entered westbound lanes of the 134 Freeway via the San Rafael off-ramp and posited that the driver was driving eastbound.
They further explained that the driver struck three vehicles, among them a Honda and a Toyota Prius.
This collision unfortunately caused one of the impacted vehicles to go ablaze resulting in the loss of two lives and many injured.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital for immediate treatment.
Two vehicles involved in the crash were left mangled beyond recognition. According to eyewitnesses, a white Sedan slam into a silver minivan along with two other cars.
Authorities have identified and confirmed that a 31-year-old, William Yost of Altadena was a victim of the tragic accident.
Yost, a Pasadena native, graduated from Pasadena High School in 2011, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team.
Authorities are yet to identify the identity of the other victim.
