Macahri, a Montgomery native, is a New Student Orientation leader and member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. The university is offering integrated emotional, mental, and spiritual support through counseling services and the Dean of the Chapel to help students, faculty, and staff during this difficult time.

Although at the time of writing this article, we are yet to identify the cause of death, nor have there been any statements from law enforcement authorities or the family about the cause of death, we can, however, confirm that he passed earlier this week.
Macahri, famously known to many of his peers as “Mac,” was not just an athlete but a friend, leader, and a point of encouragement for many.

Per his teammates, he was a very determined individual on the pitch and off it; he was kind, calling and checking on his teammates on a regular basis.
“Mac” was a Tuskegee native and had loved the game of basketball from his childhood, making him always wear the Golden Tigers jersey with so much pride.
The university is offering counselling to students and members of staff who need to let out their grief. More importantly, a vigil is currently being planned to honor his life.
