Tragic Loss as New Bern Teen Lawson Blevins Dies in Crash

Lawson Blevins, a West Craven High School FFA student student has reportedly died after a car accident in New Bern, North Carolina.

According to a report reaching us, Lewson Blevins’s death was announced by a family friend on social media.

The post was shared on the Sunday, on the 29th of December, 2024. Lawson who attended the West Craven High School in Vanceboro, North Carolina was only 17 years old when he tragically passed.

The social media post reads:

Prayers are needed for the family of Lawson Blevins, he had a car wreck and passed away. He was only 17 years old and was very loved by his family. Please God be with his family, his mother Jamie, his grandmother, Brenda, and his aunt Amy God, please wrap them in your loving arms and comfort them and their time of need.

There have been several reactions to pay tribute to the death of Lawson.

Lawson Blevins to a cousin, bestfriend, and brother we lost this morning, i just wanted to say few things, im gonna miss you like crazy, things aren’t gonna be the same without you around here man, i still remember the days where we’d had enough of school and go grab some food and hit the fishing spot, to the good buddy id cut up with in class, and the dunkin’ donuts run we’d do with mama, the news delivered this morning left me without words, i hope you enjoy it up there and know you’ll always be remembered down here. The West Craven High School has also reacted to the passing of Lawson. In their words:

I’m sad that you aren’t still here, but glad to know you’re in heaven watching over us all. I miss your smile, I miss being with you in class and on the playground in between, My heart is sad, though I know you are still with us in spirit but unseen

We are all very saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of our fellow friend and FFA member Lawson Blevins he was a light in everyone’s world that knew him he was the life of the party and hardworking we want to send our deepest regards to his family and friends. You will be greatly missed our dear friend thank you for lighting up our world.
