Morgan Hughes Salem Utah Mom, $169K Raised After Tragic Passing
In the tragic passing of Morgan Hughes Salem Utah Mom, who gave birth to her twins on the 19th of December, $169K has been raised.
According to reports, Morgan Hughes died a few days after childbirth due to complications. She had just given birth to her twins, Hudson and Georgia on the 19th of December, 2024.
According to her social media post, before giving birth to her twins, she and her husband, Sam, had been looking for the fruit of the womb.
She was a hairstylist who had been searching for the fruit of the womb since she got married in April 2023.
Reports have it that she had been hospitalized since her childbirth. Her twins were safely kept in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
All efforts to resuscitate and stabilize her proved abortive as she was declared dead on Sunday, the 28th of December, 2024.
The Salem Utah, Utah County, Utah, community has rallied around the family and contributed about $169k for the deceased family.
A GoFundMe fundraiser was set up by Sarah Thorne, the cousin of Sam Hughes who hails from Utah. The fundraiser aims to support the family and help take care of the kids the deceased left behind.
In her words:
My name is Sarah Thorne. My cousin Sam Hughes and his wife, Morgan have gone through the unimaginable. They found out earlier this year they were expecting, not only one baby but twins – a boy and a girl.
They were anxiously awaiting their arrival. Hudson and Georgia were delivered last week December 19, 2024. They are currently in the NICU. Sadly the story doesn’t end there. Morgan’s delivery came with complications. After doing all that could be done for her, she passed away this afternoon (Dec. 28) She leaves behind her adoring husband, Sam Hughes (23) their darling babies, Hudson and Georgia (1 week old), along with both sets of parents and their siblings.
Morgan was young, only 22 years old. She had just graduated hair school, while pregnant, and was starting her career. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife and friend. She has a beautiful smile and was so excited to be a mom. We know she will be with her babies in spirit as they continue on in life with their father and all their families.
While nothing can take the pain and sting of this tragic event except time and the Savior, we are making this account to try to relieve some of the financial burden on Sam that will come with Morgan’s passing and the twins being in the NICU. Please consider donating to this young family. Keep Sam and his family in your prayers. Thank you in advance.
So far, 2 thousand plus have donated over $169K of the $200k.
