Montgomery County Remembers Chris Higgins after Death in line-of-Duty

Firefighters of Montgomery County have identified Master Firefighter Christopher Higgins as the County’s firefighter who died at a house engulfed.

Reports have it that Higgins passed after he had experienced a medical emergency after the dreadful incident.

According to reports, on Saturday, the 11th of January, 2025, Chris Higgins had a medical issue at a house fire in Prince George’s County.

The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Company helped Prince George’s County firefighters with a house fire in the 15000 block of Bradford Drive around 5 p.m. Saturday.

According to reports, Chris fell during the firefight. At the time of writing this article, the medical problem he experienced wasn’t publicly available.

We however can confirm that his firefighter colleagues performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on Chris the took him to the Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center, Silver Spring, Maryland. Reports have it that he died there sadly.

From investigation, Chief Corey Smedley Head, of Montgomery County had refused to make his identity public insisting on family consent. We however understand that an IG  user, Eric Campbell who was a colleague of Chris in a post confirmed his identity and death by paying tribute to him.
