Manhattan Teacher Seriously Injured in Moped Hit-and-Run Incident
A hit-and-run moped rider ran into Keri Roy, leaving her in an unconscious state in the streets. A young rider had run into a NYC mom – Keri Roy while trying to bypass the red light on Broadway near West 218th Street on her way home around 12:45 PM.
Due to the accident, Keri Roy suffered a broken jaw and fractured cheekbone, she was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition and released — but she was hospitalised once again the following week. The fracture is said to have affected the nerves in her face, lips, and teeth which had resulted to having an infection. Keri Roy is said to be a special education teacher who teaches mathematics to special needs students and also works as a tutor.
Keri Roy’s husband – Mccarie claims he is very angry at himself as he couldn’t stand his loved one being hurt or in a powerless situation. Mccarie also said that neither he nor his wife are angry at the reckless driver as he didn’t mean to do it as it was bound to happen.
