Madison Remembers Troy Lepien, Respected UW Health Leader and Motorcycle Enthusiast

Madison Community mourns and honours the death and life of Troy Lepien, 54, of Verona, who sadly passed in a motorcycle crash.

Reports indicate that Troy passed on Thursday, the 7th of August, 2025. According to authorities, the accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on South Seminole Highway in Fitchburg, after Troy’s motorcycle crashed with an SUV.

All efforts were made to resuscitate Troy after the first emergency responders sprang swiftly to the scene. He, however, died from his injuries, which were confirmed by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s office.

Before his death, he had served as the vice president of business integrity at UW Health, where colleagues and patients remembered him as a leader with a large heart and one who constantly put patients’ needs and care first.
