A viral video shows Julio Foolio’s body being carried by some policemen into a vehicle. Julio Foolio’s death has been the trending headline since he was killed at a hotel’s car park in Tampa after he performed at a party on 23rd June 2024.
The report shows that the attack on Julio Foolio was planned by two gang groups, as the hotel’s surveillance shows the faces of the attackers, they have been caught and are currently in police custody.
His family and friends rapped Foolio’s Yungeen Ace diss track. A video surfaced that showed a woman, Foolio’s unnamed girlfriend, rapping with others during the funeral.
Meanwhile, another video has emerged in which a masked man can be seen saying that Yungeen Ace paid him USD 10,000 to kill Foolio. In an unverified video, the man says Foolio was killed because he feuded with Ace.
Jones’ mother, Sandrikas Mays, was at Monday’s news conference but didn’t speak at the podium. She previously told Newsweek she was highly supportive of Jones’ rap career. But she acknowledged that it’s what led to various attacks on her son and herself.
After he was shot eight times at close range, Mays said she implored her son to stop rapping. And of course, he made a song about it, she said.
Beyond his career, Mays said she wants her son to be remembered for the way he helped others.
“I want Charles to be remembered as a person, not as just like a dog on a street or anything like that, because he did do some good things for the community,” Mays said.
She also hopes his death can make a difference in the violence surrounding the industry.
“I just want everybody to change who is in this drill scene because it’s never going to get any better,” Mays said.
