Josh Taylor, Otterbein University Wrestling Star, Tragically Killed in Car Accident

In recent news, reports have it that one of Otterbein Unversity’s star wrestlers, Joshua Taylor has died in a tragic car crash.

According to other reports, Joshua, ‘Josh’ as he is fondly called is not just one of Otterbein University’s ace wrestlers but the best among the best. Hence, a big blow to the community.

Josh also happens to be a Lancer Alumni Athlete.

Joshua Taylor reportedly died on the 2nd of January (Thursday), 2024. In a post by the Wrestling team of Cardinals University explained how they are devastated by the passing of Taylor.

The post elucidated how pathetic it was to start the New Year with such dreadful news

The post reads:

This is a post no coach ever wants to make. In a heartbreaking start to 2025 we have lost sophomore wrestling Fam1ly member Josh Taylor to a fatal car accident today. Please keep his parents Melissa and Andy and Josh’s siblings in your thoughts during this very difficult time. We will post funeral arrangements once they are made available. Hug your loved ones tonight.

Lakewood Athletic Boosters, the alma mata of Josh posted to pay tribute to him. The post reads:

We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of one of our Lancer Alumni Athletes. Josh Taylor tragically passed away this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, siblings, friends, and all of our community who will feel the impact of Josh’s passing.

There’s nothing worse than spreading the word of someone who lost their life prematurely. It’s devastating, heartbreaking, upsetting.
