Dublin Airport Liquid Rules 2025 Update as New Changes Take Effect
Dublin January 12, 2025 – If you’re going through Dublin Airport, you need to know the new rules for liquids. They’ve been in place from September 1, 2024. These new requirements were set by the EU. They’re for travelers in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. There’s this list of dos and don’ts for bringing liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs) in your carry-on.
Liquid Rules Got a Makeover
Terminal 1:
- You gotta put all liquids, aerosols, and gels (let’s call ’em LAGs) into a clear bag that can seal again. It’s gotta be 1 liter in size (that’s like, 20cm x 20cm).
- Every flyer is allowed just one of these clear bags.
- You need to take out big tech stuff like laptops and tablets from your hand baggage and lay ’em down in a bin for security.
Big news for Terminal 2:
- Stick to the 100ml rule for LAGs, but guess what? There’s no cap on the amount of clear bags you can take.
- You can just leave those hefty electronics in your carry-on when you go through the security check.
Getting a Pass on Rules and Stuff for Special Gear
Passengers can bring baby food, milk, meds, and foods for special diets on board without worrying about the 100ml rule. You gotta take these out of your bags though, and show them to security when you’re getting checked.
