The Lucas community is devastated over the loss of one of their member, a 53-year-old woman, Kari Dodd Button.
She died a peaceful death on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The amiable daughter of the late Freddie Dodd Button and Nancy Armstrong Button was more of a rock to the Barren County community.
Growing up in the Button family farm and working alongside her father, Kari’s work ethic and dedication cannot be overemphasized, especially in the transportation of Amish Families, livestock, and goods across the United States, which brought about strong bonds wherever she went.
Her amiable nature and generosity with a heart of service earned her the admiration of many.
She will be missed by her beloved dog, Oreo, her cousin Suzanne Britt, and close friends James, Penny Barker, and Jenny Hoffman.
She will continually live in the hearts of many whom she has touched.
The funeral and burial service will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. The main burial will be held at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. The family welcomes any donation for funeral expenses, while the visitation will be on the Friday after 4:00 P.M.
