Cillian Flaherty Cause of Death: Ireland’s Fittest Family Teen Dies at 15

We sadly report the passing of a talented 15-year-old from Blaskestown, Dublin, Cilian Flaherty who passed earlier this week.

According to reports, he was supposed to appear on RTÉ’s Ireland’s Fittest Family a few days before he passed tragically.

Cillian Flaherty who passed tragically in his home was a third-year student at Blakestown Community School. 

From records, Cillian was a very talented footballer who won the hearts of many spectators with his talents and poise. Many have taken to social media to grieve and pay tribute to the dead. 

Although no cause of death is publically available at the time of writing this article. We can however confirm that a funeral mass has been held for him.

Kian, brother of the deceased during the funeral mass describes the bond between them explaining that they were best friends regardless of their occasional conflicts and disagreements.

The family honored Cillian’s love for life with a blue coffin and colorful tributes, reflecting his fun-loving spirit.

Due to Cillian’s passing, editors, program coordinators, and the entire management of Ireland’s Fittest Family production, with RTÉ have postponed the season’s premiere out of respect and honor for the late Cillian and his family.

The family who grieves at this hour appreciated this show and management for honoring the family. They further explained that Cillian had been looking forward to the show’s broadcast.

The community grieves the death of young Cillian. Many friends and lovers of the family have taken to social media to pay tribute and celebrate his life.

Blakestown Community School wrote:

It is with great sadness that we are sharing the news of the untimely passing of one of our 3rd-year students, Cillian Flaherty.

This has come as a huge shock to our whole school community.

Our sincere sympathies are with Cillian’s family and friends at this time.

Cillian was a very popular member of our school community and we know that he will be hugely missed by all those who knew him.

We are supporting students here in school while dealing with this tragic event and we aim to send on some information, at a later date, that might assist you in supporting your children through this difficult time at home.

Ruth Coppinger mourned saying:

I just want to send my solidarity to the family and friends of Cillian Flaherty who was buried today. Such a horrible tragedy. The blue balloons and ribbons festooned around Whitestown and Blakestown are a beautiful tribute and show the support of the entire community for the family going through this heartbreak.
