Carmel Valley in Monterey County, California, Mourns the sudden death of Rebecca “Boo” Simms, Co-owner of Lady & Larder Shop.
Rebecca Simms who is fondly called “Boo” passed away sadly as a result of complications from Surgery.
Her death was announced by the official IG page of the Lady & Larder.
The Statement reads:
It is with profound sadness that I share the devastating loss of my twin sister and co-founder, Boo Simms, who passed away this week due to a tragic surgery complication. This loss is immeasurable, and our hearts are completely shattered.
Boo was our magic maker, our color painter, and the brightest light I have ever known. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this overwhelmingly painful time.
Our Carmel Valley location will be closed until further notice. Our Santa Monica location will remain open to serve you with the continued love and care that that Boo always poured into everything we do.

Boo was not just an identical twin, she shared a very deep bond with her sister and business partner, Sarah Simms.
Sarah described her sister as the “brightest light” as she mourned. Boo, and Sarah built the Lady & Larder Business into one that the whole community loved, cherished,d and constantly was a symbol of love and persistence.
Lady & Larder delivered beautiful cheese and charcuterie boards. Amongst the two sisters, Boo had a very creative mind, artistic touch, and a bright personality which made her the favorite in the community.
The community today mourns her death and remembers her legacy.
