Aaron – where do I begin. I’ve tried writing this over and over and can’t seem to find the words to say. Nothing seems good enough, every time I try to write this I just think about the memories we have created over the last 10 years+.

So that’s what I’ll talk about. In 2013, I was trying out for the junior high boys basketball team, a huge fan of IU, and went up to you and asked if you were Austin Etherington’s brother. We’ve laughed about this story so many times. I was just a scrawny kid with a bowl cut, and you were one of the highest ranks players in Indiana.

Over time, we got to know each other, and quickly became best friends. I started to ride my bike over to your mom’s house, and we would always find something to do. We would ride our bikes over to El Camino and each order 2 chimichangas, play pick up at sandstone park, and other typical 14-15 year old boy activity .

High school came, and we grew our relationship more, we were brothers. And in my most difficult time, you supported me in my move back home to southern Indiana. And while our relationship changed, we never lost sight of the love we had for one another, and always picked up right where we left off.

Into adulthood you never once changed. We checked in on each other, congratulated each other, and supported each other in our most challenging times. And on your 25th birthday, we expressed how long it had been – which hurts.

Aaron, even though I won’t get the chance to tell you again in this life time. I love you, and thank you for being my brother.

The memories we share are ones I will hold in my heart for the rest of my time here on earth. Rest in peace brother – I’ll see you in the stars❤️
