Man Shot by Police in Carle Place

Early Wednesday morning, around 12:30 A.M. in Carle Place, Long Island, a man was injured in a police-involved shooting.

Nassau County police responded to a call at a home on Rushmore Avenue.

Upon the arrival of the police, shots were fired, and a 30-year-old man was shot in the chest.

He was carried to the Hospital, but no news about his current condition has been released yet.

The authorities have closed off all nearby streets and avenues to further carry out investigations.

The New York Attorney General’s office are currently involved and are trying to find out what provoked the shooting.

The public are urged to keep still and calm as the authorities are working to get to the bottom of this case.
