A difficult situation arose when the alarms were raised around 11 A.M. after a man pulled a gun during an argument inside a stairwell.
A man, detailed as a Black male in his 20s or 30s wearing green scrubs, unhesitantly displayed a pistol, which caused the employees of the Hospital to speedily sound the active shooter alarm, a swift lockdown of the whole campus, alongside the Olympic Plaza Center and Main Hospital buildings.
Following confirmation from witnesses that the suspect was wielding a gun, the Tyler Police and Local agencies rapidly responded to the alarm.

Before the authorities could arrive, the suspect had escaped without a trace. However, the authorities have launched a thorough search.
Thankfully, no casualties were recorded, and the lockdown order was removed at around 1 p.m.
The search continues while authorities are currently going over video footage of the suspect for clues, they are also urging anyone with any information to present it.
Relatives of employees and patients in the hospital anxiously waited outside, using text messages to keep in touch with each other.

The lockdown has since been lifted, and hospital operations have resumed without any delays.
The authorities are doing everything they can to close this case and are urging civilians to be assured.
