In a sad piece of news, we report the demise of Beulah Yearwood (née Attwell), a loved member of the Port Elizabeth community.
Per tributes, she sadly passed after battling with cancer for 9 years. She was known for her remarkable strength in the times of her battle, her deep faith, and, more importantly, her love for her family.
For those who knew her, Beulah’s passing left an indelible mark, and she would be missed. She passed on Thursday, the 14th of August, 2025.

Her daughter, Tamryn Seopela, who stood by her and was a constant pillar throughout Beulah’s illness, took to social media to share an emotional tribute, noting that her mother fought the sickness with strength. “My Beulah, my Mummy, fought cancer with a strength that defied words,” she said.
She further explained that her mother held on to her faith in God, believing that she could be healed by God.

The Yearwood family, at the time of writing this article, mourns the loss of a mariach whilst finding comfort in the fact that Beulah is now free from pain. “She lived on her own terms, and now she rests in peace,” her daughter shared on social media.
She was a mother, friend, and a source of inspiration to those who were close to her.
The community mourns as well; however, many have taken to social media to share their condolence messages and tributes. As the family requests prayers during this very difficult time, many friends and family in their posts are honouring her memory of love and deep faith.
