A beloved school teacher in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Janelle Svozil, sadly passed as the community mourns her unexpected passing.
She was a beloved teacher at Central Middle School. Janelle was known for her kindness, dedication, and free spirit. She unfortunately passed away in her sleep on Saturday, the 9th of August, 2025.
Many have come out to pay tribute to the passing of Janelle, recalling how dedicated she was to her work. Her sudden demise has left the students, her colleagues, and the community at large in heartbreak.
In these tributes, she was referred to as a “passionate educator” who left a lasting impact on the lives of students she taught. Her colleagues particularly recall her relentless effort to drive and inspire creativity, curiosity, and, more importantly, confidence.
They recounted how patient she was with her students.
She was a devoted mother to Colton and Brinley, and a loving wife to Brent. A GoFundMe account has been organized to help the family with the burial arrangements and financial challenges during this difficult time.
