The community of Baltimore, Maryland, is currently mourning the loss of Mark Fetting, who sadly passed on Saturday, the 9th of August, 2025.
Mark, who would be remembered for his exceptional leadership skills, philanthropy, and love for his family, passed at the age of 70 on the 9th of August, 2025, following a heart attack he had.
Mark was the former CEO of Legg Mason and was dedicated to his career. During his time leading the Legg Mason company, he left an indelible mark on the company, leading with excellence during the crucial period of the company.
Mark did not let his excellence stop at his work alone; he also led boards outside of his professional life, helping others and championing causes in the education and healthcare sectors. He considered the city of Baltimore his fourth child and was very passionate about advocating and working selflessly for the city.
Today, the community mourns while also celebrating a life well spent.
