The Community of Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa, remembers the life and times of Tyler Den, 36, who was a Lead Thrasher Foundation Repair.
Tyler was known and would be remembered for his hard work, humor, and compassion. He was an individual who would strike up a conversation with any person and would have that conversation, judgment-free.

Although at points in his life, he battled with addiction and mental health challenges, he loved friendly conversations with anyone up for it.
Tyler was born to Harlan “Butch” Den Besten (father, deceased) and Janice (Postma) Den Besten (mother) in Rock Rapids, Iowa.
Tyler loved gardening, cats, and, per many tributes, was generous, loved his work, and was dedicated to it.

He passed on Sunday, the 10th of August, 2025. He died after an attempt to take his own life. Tyler’s last act of generosity was seen through organ donation, giving the gift of life to others who needed it the most.
Funeral services will be held August 13 at First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids.
