Canton Academy Mourns Loss of Student Athlete Jasper Branning
In very sad news, we report the death of Jasper Branning of Canton Academy who passed sadly on the 8th of January, 2025.
According to reports, he died in the morning. The family of Jasper announced the unfortunate passing of their son on social media.
Jasper attended Canton Academy, a private school located at 1 Nancy Drive in Canton, Mississippi, and played for their football team before his passing.
Although there is no cause of death released to the public at the time of writing this article, he however was an 8th-grade student who many perceived as vibrant. He attended the school with his 12th-grade brother
He tragically passed at the age of 13 years.
Canton Academy took to social media to also announce his death.

Please join us in keeping the Branning family in our thoughts and prayers along with Jasper’s classmates, friends, teachers and coaches. We will update when arrangements are finalized.
