Kamala Harris Extends Hands Of Support To Israel To Put An End To Gaza War
Vice-president Kamala Harris took to the stage in her closing speech at the DNC convention in Chicago after accepting her candidacy for the presidential election on 5th November 2024.
During her speech, Kamala Harris made where she stands clearer with the strongest statement while giving her support for the Israeli right to defend itself but also condemning the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
In Kamala’s words, she said “…I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself, because the people of Israel must never face the horror of a terrorist organisation called Hamas caused on October 7. Including unspeakable sexual violence, and the massacre of young people at the music festival…”
Vice President Kamala Harris has described the devastating situation in Gaza as heart-wrenching. She has already carried her position on the war to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during her visit to the US at the end of July, assuring him of her unwavering commitment to Israel but will not remain silent on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Here are a few reactions from concerned netizens about the V.P.’s speech at the DNC convention.
